XRAY T2 wins again but this time with Flávio Salinet â“ XRAY TEAM BRASIL. New Hobby track held the first round of the Curitibano Championship of Modified Class â” the most important electric championship in Brazil. The race format used was the same as the Reedy Race with 5 heats. The weather didnâ™t help too much but the race still went ahead.

XRAY TEAM BRASIL included Flávio Salinet, Horácio Ferreira and Jonas Ferstemberg. The other driver, Fabiano Franco, was helping the team in the pits. Another XRAY TEAM, GP MASTER, was there, too, with drivers are Gilnei (nicknamed âśKiddyâť) racing and Paulo Padilha racing only in the stock class but helping with the organization of the Modified class.

In the first heat Flávio make a mistake on the first lap and went down to last place; Hamilton Jr from DINO RACING took first place. Lincoln Almeida was taking one place at a time followed by Flavio Salinet. Lincoln Almeida won the first heat with Flavio Salinet on 1 sec. behind him. Both drivers set the best lap at 9.780 sec.

In the second heat, Lincoln Almeida and Hamilton Júlio Neto abandoned the race with some problems. Flávio Salinet won the second and third heats from beginning to end.
In Heat 4, Flávio Salinet made a conservative race, knowing that he had 4 laps over Kiddy and Jonas Ferstemberg (both with XRAY chassis) and 5 laps over Hamilton Jr. Hamilton Jr won heat 4.
In the final heat, Flávio Salinet had 4 laps over second place, which was being battled out by Kiddy and Jonas. Hamilton Jr started in 1st with 1 lap behind Jonas and Kiddy, Flavio Salinet 2nd, Kiddy 3rd and Jonas Ferstemberg in 4th. The heat started and after few laps Hamilton made a mistake and was passed by Flávio Salinet and Kiddy a few laps later. Flávio let Kiddy pass because he didnâ™t want to become involved in the particular dispute between Kiddy and Jonas but at the end of the heatâ¦.. Flávio passed Kiddy and won the heat.

XRAY T2 with Flávio Salinet took the best lap and track record with 9.640 sec., TQ and won the first round. Congratulations to all XRAY drivers, especially to Gilnei (Kiddy) and Jonas Ferstemberg. Next event is the 2 round of stock class on April, 9th.
